Kat Von D’s Spring/Summer 2012 Lookbook is a ‘Treasure’
Everybody’s favorite female tattoo artist, Kat Von D, is at it again with a new collection line, “Treasure Coast.” Launched today on Valentine’s Day, Kat Von D, gives us a lineup full of structured blazers, abstract prints, and flowy pieces for her spring/summer 2012 collection.
Going for a universally-flattering and wearable collection, the former L.A. Ink star designed the pieces to just about tailor to any fashion enthusiast. “My customer is looking for pieces that can mesh easily with their personal style. It was important that we use textures and fabrics that will not only feel luxurious but also become treasures in their own right,” claims Kat.
While designing for the everyday girl in mind, Kat Von D’s glitz and rock-n-roll personality still reflected in this feminine yet edgy collection. Not straying too far from her previous line, “Love Letters,” dark hued leggings, power shoulder blazers, and fringes can still be seen with an added touch of cutouts.
Kat Von D also integrated abstract India-esque prints to her pieces as seen on her royal purple ‘Galleon’ gown and cream-coloured fringe ‘Niagara’ top. As for the remaining ensembles, she opted for dark, watercolor colours embedded with intricate folds, resembling what you may discover while looking for treasure in the vast, deep ocean.
