Get To Know: Lowline
I found out about alt-rock bandLowline about a year ago on iTunes when their song, “Outside,” was the Single Of The Week. They were even named iTunes USA Alternative Breakthrough Artist Of The Year. After giving the song a listen, I immediately bought the album. You gotta love when that happens. 😛
Hailing from Manchester, UK, the band formed in 2007 and later released a few singles the following year before releasing their debut self-titled album in May of 2011. When I first heard “Outside” I was reminded of U2 for some reason which is pretty cool because obviously U2 is incredible! 🙂
Lowline’s debut has been described as “a record of dark, brooding, apocalyptic, psyche-rock.” Sound interesting? Give them a listen:
