Question of the Day: What’s Your Favorite Biographical Film?
The title for this QOTD sounds weird. What if means is “What movie about someone’s life is your favey?” It has to be for real, though. That’s the only rule for today’s Q. I am listening to a lot of Los Lobos this morning. If you don’t know who they are, you are missing out. I mean, listen to this jam right here:
They also did the soundtrack for La Bamba, which is about my hero, Ritchie Valen. It’s been a while since I’ve seen that movie but I used to watch it all the time with my friends in High School. It’s one of those movies where you see things happen and you think to yourself how weird it is to see pretty much your life happening right before you eyes. Well, minus the whole being a famous musician thing.
Since I was raised in a pretty traditional, yet unconventional Mexican American household as a kid, a lot of what happened on that screen happened to me in my youth, just in a different setting.
