MY HIEROGLYPHIC’S CARVED ALMOST 50 YEARS AGO ……..
I was very fascinated with Egypt when I was young. My father was stationed in Egypt during World War II in 1942 and he told us all about the lifestyle he saw while he was there. I did this I believe in 1960 or 61 when I was in 8th grade. I did a very detailed book report the same year for my History class. I still have the book report although it’s packed away. I remember my teacher loving all the photos from Egypt and other things I included in it. I still have all the mementos from that time. I carved this slate and it sat on my parents patio for all these years until I brought it home after we sold their house.
