Summerdays….*Chapter 20*

“It’s ok guys, everything is fine” says Frank. “Bayly is just getting some meds for her throat. Dee is with her and she wanted me to come out and tell you guys that Bayly is alright!” Gabbie and Jared let out of a sigh. “Oh think goodness!” says Gabbie. “So she can come home?” asks Jared. “Yeah, just gotta to the meds” reply’s Frank. Moments later, Dee comes out of the wing holding a sleeping Bayly. “The meds are going to make her sleepy for a while” says Dee. “It should take a week or so for her sore throat to be all gone” “Oh that’s good” says Jared. “Yep! Um, could you hold her for a sec Gab? Me and Frank gotta sign more papers, for some reason” says Dee to Gabbie. “Oh course” says Gabbie holding her arms out. Dee softly passes over Bayly to Gabbie. Then Dee and Frank go over to the desk and signs the papers. “Isn’t she so sweet” says Gabbie looking at her. “Yeah, Dee and Frank are lucky to have her” says Jared, looking at her as well, “Yeah they are” Gabbie and Jared stare at Balyly for a while, then Dee comes back over and says smiling, “Hey guys, can I have my baby back now?” “Huh? Oh yeah! Sorry Dee!” “Haha, it’s ok” Dee takes Bayly, and then they head back to Dee and Frank’s house.

At Dee and Franks house:

Dee puts Bayly to bed, while Frank gets Gabbie and Jared some coffee. “I don’t know how to thank you guys” says Frank giving them their cups. “Oh it’s ok, just want the little one ok” says Gabbie. “Yeah, I can’t believe you know that she had a sore throat, that was awesome!” says Dee coming down the stairs. “How did you know?” “Well you guys said that she wasn’t’ drinking anything, so I peaked into her mouth and saw the it was a bit swollen” “Oh, why didn’t we think of that?!” says Dee shaking her head. Frank laughs and kisses his wife.

A hour later, still at Dee and Frank’s house:

“Well, it’s been fun, but it’s getting late and I think you two need to chill, so we’re gonna head” says Jared putting his cup in the sink. “Ok then guys, wow it is major late! says Frank looking at the clock. It just turned to one o’clock in the morning. “Thanks so much again guys!” Dee says hugging Jared and Gabbie as they go to walk out the door. “Ooh your very welcome!” says Gabbie. “We really need to make it up to you guys, how about lunch tomorrow?” says Frank. “Um, I donno” says Gabbie and Jared. “Come on!” says Dee and Frank, putting on their puppy faces. “Ok, fine!” yell’s Jared and Gabbie. “Cool! We’ll pick you up at two. And see if Shan can come, haven’t seen him for a while” says Dee to Gabbie. “Ok, will do” says Gabbie. “Night!”

A hour later, at Jared’s house:

“You want to come in for a sec?” asks Jared to Gabbie. “Nah, need to get home, see if Shannon’s there or not” “Oh ok then. So…should I be over at your house around one thirty?” “Yeah, that sounds fine” “Ok then. Well, goodnight then” “Ok then, goodnight” Gabbie pulls out of the driveway, and then Jared goes into his house.

At Gabbie’s house:

Gabbie just got in, and she’s tired as hell. She goes over to the phone to see if there’s a message. Nope, not a one. But there is a note from Shannon:

Hi Gabbie,

If your reading this, that means I’m still out with party boy and most likely will be out till five or six in the goddamn morning.

So, I’m most likely be going to sleep over my house tonight and keeping a eye on him.

>:P

So, have sweet dreams, and goodnight. I’ll call you in the morning.

Shannon.

No love you, or love Shannon, just Shannon. So he’s still pissed, all because she didn’t call him. “Oh whatever, I really don’t give a shit anymore, he really needs to grow the fuck up” Gabbie says to herself. She then goes upstairs, gets her shower, slips into her pj’s, and comes back down and grabs a soda form the icebox. She then watch’s some tv for a hour. She looks at her cell thinking, “Well, I better call him so I don’t hear it in the morning” She picks up her cell and calls Shannon. She gets his voice mail so she leaves a message, “Hey I’m home talk to you later” and she hangs up. Then she goes up to bed. On the laptop for a few minutes, and she lays in bed. It feels pretty creepy here alone, and thats weird cause she’s been living here for five years now, and it never really had her kina creeped out before, but now it does. Then again Shannon was always here, so she must have not really thought about it to much. “Wonder if this is what it’s gonna be like without him?” thinks Gabbie, pretty sure that her and Shan are barely on their last feet. Around three in the morning she at last goes to sleep. At least about ten minutes later, her cell phone rings. “Oh what the hell now?!” says Gabbie getting up and picking up her phone.
