Ugly Betty, The REALITY Show?
VH1 is prepping an Ugly Betty reality show. Not even kidding.
The premise: What happens when unattractive women are thrown into the high-glam environment of the fashion and modeling industries? On hand to make sure the contestants feel sufficiently bad about themselves will be Becky Southwick, best known as the salty-tongued Wilhelmina Models executive who was forever castigating her girls for being too fat on VH1’s The Agency. (Radar Online) Is there anything that HASN’T been turned into a reality show these days? That’s a serious question.
I know VH1 is champion of trainwreck-style reality programming, but isn’t this premise just cruel? Or will they get pretty girls who put on glasses and baggy clothes, just so they can be “made over” halfway through the season (which is very “She’s All That”)
