Whether they've seen it in cartoons or real life, it's not exactly hard to find evidence of cats and dogs struggling to get along. Indeed, so many dogs are almost aggressive in their friendliness, while cats tend to value their independence and personal space.
Naturally, this means they can often clash. However, that doesn't mean the old Ghostbusters quote about "cats and dogs living together" is so outlandish after all. It turns out that some dogs can form adorable little friendships with cats and it's so heartwarming to see every time.

Not everyone needs to cuddle up to enjoy each other's company. In this case, these two dogs and cat are just serenely sharing the same space together, leaving their owner to wonder which of them is the most relaxed.

As Reddit user d-3an0 explained, she got this cat shortly after bringing her dog into her home, so they could keep each other company. Although they've tolerated each other in that time, that's largely as far as it's gone.
However, she's noticed a change in recent times, as they've started becoming more friendly with each other after she moved into her boyfriend's home. And clearly, they can certainly agree that they both want this muffin.
Some Irresistable Motivation
As Reddit user TDLMTH explained, these animals aren't always so apt to get along as swimmingly as they are in this photo. However, something has all of their attention.
That's because this person is cutting up a T-bone steak and they've apparently been taught that being polite but insistent in their requests for it will reap them all rewards. Even humans don't always figure that out.
This Moment Is Even More Precious Than It Seems
This fluffy cat and its fluffy dog companion look incredibly heartwarming laying together like this, and Reddit user FindrOfCartoons couldn't agree more.
However, that's partially because it was such a surprising sight for them. Apparently, it's not unusual for these animals to quarrel, so they were very pleasantly surprised when they came back from a walk to see them curled up like this.

It's one thing for cats and dogs to look comfortable sleeping together, but these two seemed to go as far as to fall asleep in each other's arms (front legs, in this case). They must get along famously.

Now, Pepper is convinced that Huckleberry Boo is a little puppy friend and treats the cat with the appropraite care. In this case, that involves acting as the kitty's pillow.

Naturally, it's always lovely to see cats and dogs cuddle up together. Since people are so used to seeing them antagonize each other, it feels like witnessing a rare and precious moment.
