Throughout so much of human history, the world has had an obsession with youth. While that may have had to do with low life expectancy and related anxieties in centuries past, that fixation is no less powerful in an image-conscious modern society.
For that reason, the sad truth is that when people start to get older, it can be hard for them not to feel like their best days are over. But they don't have to be.
