Taylor Swift Announces Surprise Album To End 2020!

If you thought you needed more Taylor Swift in 2020, we have good news. The soon to be 31-year-old songstress announced on December 10th that she would be releasing her ninth studio album tonight. The surprising move marks her second album release of the year.

The new record, called Evermore, is described as a sister piece to Folklore, the first surprise album she dropped this year. With the massive critical and commercial success of that album, we expect Evermore will be welcomed with open arms.

While it might not have been easy to reveal she was working on a new record, Taylor Swift knew it would be a good surprise to end 2020. And it would be an even better way for her to celebrate turning 31.

As she wrote on Twitter, "Ever since I was 13, I've been excited about turning 31 because it’s my lucky number backwards, which is why I wanted to surprise you with this now. You’ve all been so caring, supportive and thoughtful on my birthdays and so this time I thought I would give you something!"
