Usually known as the “hot dog,” Dachshunds don’t mind hanging out in smaller spaces. The best part of this breed? They’re big on cuddles and love giving and receiving lots of attention. If coming home to an adorable pup who just wants to sit in your lap while you watch Netflix sounds ideal to you, a Dachshund might be your new companion.

With little legs, Dachshunds don’t necessarily need much exercise, so it’s alright if you don’t have a backyard. Still, these little guys will love if you take them on regular walks or to the park for a game of catch. While Dachshunds may be quiet in nature, they’re known to bark at a knock at the door and bring out their spunk whenever necessary.
