Calling All Writers! Are You The Next Great American Comedy Writer?
Do you have a knack for saying funny things and effortlessly making people laugh until they have a hard time breathing? Do you ever watch shows such as Gilmore Girls, Everybody Hates Chris and Friday Night Lights and think, “Hey, I could write for this!”? Do you think that you’re the next great American comedy writer? If so, the Alliance for Family Entertainment is looking for YOU!
The AFE wants new writers to submit their original, half-hour comedy format script. The winning writer receives $5,000 and personal mentoring on their winning script from acclaimed TV writer John Wells, the executive producer of ER, Third Watch, The West Wing, Shameless and Southland. Who knows? It could possibly be your big break!
