Madeon – Pop Culture: An EDM Megamix
Seventeen-year-old French producer Madeon has been blowing away the music blog scene over the past few months (most notable with his remix of Yelle‘s “Que Veux Tu”), and today he dropped his latest offering: A mega-mashup of thirty-nine smash pop and dance songs. The track samples everyone from Madonna to Britney to Adele, and literally one million others who I can’t name, but you’ll have to pick out for yourself.
To top it off, this video is actually a live recording of Madeon working in Ableton Live to create the mix. Is this for real?! He is crazy talented!
With the amount of novice-level mashups and remixes floating around the internet, it’s refreshing to see someone emerge with such a unique and true talent — and only at seventeen! I can’t imagine where he’ll be in ten, even twenty years. The next Justice, perhaps? I think yes.
