Chesca Miles (3/7) Woman
Chesca Miles is the only woman stunt rider in Britain – and a 20 year old model to boot! Something about a glamorous girl on a motorbike holds fascination for both men and women. For women, the allure of another boundary broken; “the weakness of our sex holds no barriers”. Miles says, “…the bike is quite light to lift off the ground. It’s just getting the right release, and catching the back brake in time.”
Growing up with eight brothers and sisters, she got an early start go-karting and BMXing with her motor-bike crazed father who says, “she’s always been a tomboy.” With her pretty green eyes, and long brown hair, she often got knocked down and around by men, until she proved she was serious. “My first accident, I ran into a wall after mistiming a trick. It didn’t put me off, I just, overcame my fears and got back up. After that, men in the field have been really supportive, and several very respected performers have asked me to ride with them.”
