Daily Music Dose: Brian Eno

I like to sleep. It is basically my version of the precious. I want to hide it in the pocket of my mind and strangle whomever may try to take it from me. You know, just like Smeagol did to his BFF:

They aren’t playing. They are fighting for the precious.

At night, once all the ghetto birds have stopped pursuing criminals and shining spotlights through my blinds, reminding me that I am the star of the failed off Broaway hit called “Mai Lyphe,” I like to turn on the Pandora Music app and listen to the ambient station. I don’t know when I started doing this. It’s either that or the Baroque station. I digress.

The ambient music station is basically Brian Eno, all day, err day. Naturally, since I heard this constantly in my sleep, it seeped into every fiber of my being. I ended up purchasing Brian Eno’s The Shutov Assembly and Music For Airports because they are kind of amazing.

Apparently, Brian Eno was in this little band you may have heard of called Roxy Music. That’s what I am told my various Google searches and music nerd friends that were shocked that I had Brian Eno in my iPod.

He’s also done a lot of work scoring music as well as art installations and what not. His career spans DECADES and is truly epic.

Caution! Warning! Things! PLEASE DO NOT OPERATE HEAVY MACHINERY WHEN LISTENING TO FOLLOWING BRIAN ENO VIDEOS! DO NOT HOLD BABIES! PLEASE SIT IN A COMFY CHAIR AND CHILL THE LAX OUT!

Not that these are bad or anything, they are just your ticket to ChillsVille.

Music For Airports:

The Big Ship

Thursday Afternoon (not the entire ONE HOUR SONG, sorry)

Even if this type of music isn’t your bag, OMG READ THE YOUTUBE COMMENTS. It’s like a giant hug party, peppered with the sesame seeds of DISCONTENT.

Anyway, I hope you’ve enjoyed your DMD. See ya!
