Trendspotting with…Yasi

It should be known that aside from occasional swimming, some summer TV programming, and the abundance of barbeques, June through August is not my favorite time of year. That’s because summer fashion and I mix like oil and water. I like LAYERING. I like velvet, shearling, cashmere, chunk knit wool, etc. I own forty pairs of boots and ONE pair of sandals. That being said, it is with great excitement and anticipation that I present to you my trends for Fall (which starts TOMORROW amen hallellujah). If you need me I’ll be running my new “eccentric old lady” style, draped in velvets and furs, laying on a chaise lounge nibbling on brie and paging through mid-century British Literature.

1. Maxi Maxi Maxi

I absolutely love floor skimming dresses and skirts. In a clean silouhette they make you look modern and sexy.

2. Shearling

I’m obsessed with shearling for Fall. On jackets and vests, it’s cozy and stylish.

3. Sheer

I’m a sucker for sheer shirts paired with leggings and a gorgeous bra, or sheer skirts for those a little more daring. Anything sheer is a great layering piece.

4. Camel/Nude

Goes with everything and is super sexy and sophisticated.

5. Leopard

As far as I’m concerned, leopard (when used tastefully) never goes out of style. I especially love leopard pony hair accessories.

6. Mules

Mules are my must-have shoe for Fall. They even work with tights.
