THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!

At around 1:00pm PST, Mark Reads Harry Potter got it’s two millionth page view.

GUYS.

2,000,000.

THAT IS A LOT OF VIEWS TO A PAGE.

Thank you, for your unending support, for your insightful comments, for the stories you tell me, for your silliness, for the fanart, and, mostly, for your acceptance of a 26-year-old gay Latino dude who yells about the world a lot and somehow finds ways to do this within the context of Harry Potter.

It means the world to me. I’ve been told for years that the easiest way to be successful on the Internet was to do things that are short, shallow, and disposable. Each and every one of you have proven that there is value in the exact opposite. Who knew a blog that sometimes runs in the 2k-3k word count PER POST would ever be this successful? You give me faith that the written word is still just as powerful in an age where one could just post 20 images of Rupert Grint to get traffic. (WHICH IS ALSO ACCEPTABLE BECAUSE HE IS REALLY HANDSOME, OK?)

Thank you. Thank you. Thank YOU. Now, excuse me while I continue sobbing at my desk.

PS: I’m also working my way through all the comments on my last post. I’ll get to them, I promise!
