Daily Music Dose – The Field Mice

Nothing can be said of The Field Mice that scores of poets haven’t already commited to written word. The Field Mice are aptly named for their ability to sneak into the silo of your emoshunz and eat all grain inside, leaving nothing but happy, dancing mice inside. Then, because the mice ate too much, everyone needs to have a nap and probably be left alone for a while to think about how they ate all your grain for the winter.

The Field Mice are magical. Their sound was given a home on the marvelous Sarah Records, home of all things indie pop awesome rock. The band was made up of two glorious creatures – Bob Wratten and Michale Hiscock (lol). Sadly, Field Mice broke up in 1991. Thank goodness that they left us with awesome songs about cuddling, crying at sunsets, and being sensitive. Everytime I listen to Field Mice, I just want to curl up in a ball in a pile of kittens or run in a meadow full of butterflies.

If You Need Someone

Please enjoy these songs and give them a place to stay in your heart. They mostly need to be cuddled and wrapped in a scarf, lest they wither and die. Also, anytime you listen to Field Mice, you must have tea because it warms your soul. Please drink responsibly.
