Living For The Written Word – Photos & Lyrics

Buzznet is no stranger to music. It runs through our veins and creates the rhythm that our beating hearts march to. It is no wonder that some beloved Buzznet-ers grabbed their cameras, their markers, and their imaginations to recreate their very own artist interpretations of song lyrics. Enjoy but a mere sampling found on Buzznet.

If you haven’t guessed that I’ve already squeezed two Smiths references into this post, then perhaps this next photo will clue you in on my love for all things Morrissey/Smiths. I spent many a day as a young man with flowers in my back pocket, meandering about the streets with this song in my CD player (yes, pre-iPod dayz). Thanks to xxMJScenexx for snapping one of my most fave lyrics ever!

There is a light that never goes out – The Smiths

Who doesn’t enjoy a little Death Cab For Cutie every now and then? Trans-Atlanticism is such a good album and the song that sprung this next photo, Lightness, is SO GOOD. Thanks Random0001 for posting this:

JessLovesPanic also loves Fall Out Boy. She declaired her love for them by going all “Shining” and writing down the lyrics to a few songs in her cupboard. An awesome idea and a wonderful photo!

Speaking of Panic!, Viiicky decided to put the smack on some Northern Downpour lyrics:

This next photo belongs to MCRUnicorn. According to the comments, fire was involved and there was some mishap with her tripod. I think that is the power John Lennon’s way of reaching out Across The Universe to lend a hand to this budding artist. Perhaps he just got a little clumsy in the hereafter and almost caused a disaster. Long live The Beatles (or the Fiona Apple cover of this song)!

JDang took a quiet approach to the following Sing It Loud lyric for Best Beating Heart. It looks like the scene of the crime is still fresh, as the weapon of choice is still in the photo, as well as the chalk outline of the heart:

MusicIsCool is not only Claire’s user name, but a true statement. Not only is music cool, but the following photo is as well. Inspired by the lyrics for If Only They Knew – A Rocket To The Moon, Claire brought out the guns of creativity and hit the target. Check out what she did (and don’t forget to read her accompanying thoughts on this photo, too):

If only the world accepted my love to pay the Rent. Wait. That sounds questionable. The next photo was inspired by the musical RENT. These are the lyrics to I’ll Cover You. In an ideal world, love would be all we needed to pay the rent. Thanks to xAcidxRain for posting this:

Lyrics abound on Buzznet, as well as artistic interpretations of them. Do you have any favorite photos inspired by lyrics that I may have missed? Feel free to include them and slap me on the head for missing them! Don’t forget to write to the owners of these photos and tell them how awesome they are!
