Seeking Dreams……Chapter Six
An hour later the plane touches down.
The girls see the boys waiting for them in the airport building.
Emily then runs in and jumps onto Shannon.
“Hey baby!” Shannon says holding her.
Gabrielle smiles at the scene as she walks tired like up to them.
“Hey honey you look exhausted” Jared says holding her arms to her.
“Yeah, the second we reach the bus I’m hitting the bed” Gabrielle says now hugging him.
“Oh goodie, sounds like fun” Jared slyly whispers in her ear.
Gabrielle giggles and then says slyly back, “Maybe….”
Then she goes off the hug Shannon and Tomo.
Then everyone heads off to get the girls luggage and then it’s off to the bus for a good nights sleep.
The next morning the bus is on the move again to the next town.
“We’re stopping at the nearest store once we reach town cause we’re very low and food and stuff” Jared says as he gets himself coffee.
“Cool, I need to get more soap” Emily says.
“I’ll say, thought you and Shan we’re gonna drown in that shower last night” Gabrielle’s says.
“Oh haha” Emily says grimacing.
“So how did the job interview go?” Shannon asks then girls when he sits at the table.
“Um, good, waiting for a call back” Emily says looking at Gabrielle, who is nodding her head in agreement of the lie.
“I feel so bad doing that” Emily says to Gabrielle when Shannon and Jared then start to talk about the concert tonight.
“I know, but the truth is far worse I would think” Gabrielle says still a bit nervous on Jared finding out about her going to see her ex.
A few hours later the bus finally reaches the next town and stop at the store.
“Ok, we’ll take one part of the list, you gals take the other” Shannon says now handing the girls a paper.
“Ok” Gabrielle says now going off with Emily.
“So how are you feeling today anyways hun?” Emily asks Gabrielle as they walk down an aisle.
“Ok I guess” Gabrielle reply’s.
“You guess?”
“Yeah. Well, I did kinda get upset yesterday. Didn’t really expect it to have a heavy effect on me”
“I know hun”
“I just….I mean, why after all these years of just dumping me, you suddenly decide to pop up and want to go off into the sun set like before?! I mean, what’s the deal here?!”
“I know, you don’t just jump up like that and want everything to go back to normal”
“Exactly. By the way, he gave me his number”
“Did he?”
“Yeah, found it in my pocket, must have slipped it somehow, wants me to call him, see”
Gabrielle then shows Emily the little note.
“Yeah, he defiantly has some problems” Emily says shaking her head.
“I know right?”
“So, are you going to call him?”
“Ha, you’re joking right?”
“Just asking”
“Listen, I told you I just went to say goodbye. Now that’s done, it’s done”
“I know”
Gabrielle rolls her eyes at Emily and shakes her head.
But to be honest, she’s not really sure.
Somewhere deep, deep inside she still has a little feeling for Robert, even though her life if pretty mush is filled with Jared now.
But still….
She just doesn’t know.
All she knows that is that she just wants this done, and hopefully it is.
That all she knows.
What she doesn’t know is that Jared and Shannon has been standing around the corner from the aisle, listening to the whole mess…..
