Chasing Shadows……Chapter Forty-Two
About an hour later Jared closes the book and turns out the light.
He then snuggles into Gabrielle, who’s still wide awake.
After a few minutes, Jared then suddenly whispers in Gabrielle, “Are you awake?”
“Kind of” Gabrielle mutters back
“Thought so. I can’t sleep either” Jared says.
“I think it’s because we’ve been pretty much locked in here for so long” Gabrielle then says now turning over to face Jared.
“Haha, I think your right” Jared says softly laughing.
Silence then comes between the two for a moment.
Gabrielle cannot believe that, even in the dark, Jared bright blue eyes are still somewhat visible.
“Whoa” she mutters to herself.
“What?” Jared asks hearing her.
“I…it’s just, I can still see your eyes, even in this darkness” Gabrielle says turning red a little.
Jared chuckles at that.
“Well it’s not that dark. I can still see your eyes” he says.
“Oh yeah? What color are they?”
“Hazel-brown”
“Are they open or closed?”
“Humm let me see”
Jared then leans forward and kisses Gabrielle right on the lips.
He sooo shouldn’t have done that.
Gabrielle feels like she’s gonna lose it any second.
“They were open a few minutes ago, but now their closed” he then whispers to her when they break apart.
“Good guess, how about now” Gabrielle whispers back pulling Jared towed her again.
The two then press their lips to each other a little harder then last time.
Jared then begins to runs his fingers through Gabrielle’s hair, making her moan a little.
She then feels Jared pushing his weight forward towards her, making the two fall softly down on the mattress.
The kiss then turns into a full-blown make-out session, and it’s getting more intense.
Jared’s now running his fingers up and down Gabrielle’s belly.
Gabrielle has her hands underneath Jared’s shirt, moving them up and down and around his whole torso, daring to take the shirt off of him all together.
But Jared, seemingly reading her mind, beats her too it.
He leans up just a bit and then slides the shirt off, now showing his whole upper body, making Gabrielle feel like she’s gonna pass out.
He then comes back down and whispers in Gabrielle’s ear, “May I?” while tugging on her shirt.
“Go for it” Gabrielle says, losing it altogether now.
She hasn’t let a man touch her like this in a long while.
Not since…..
No, lets not think about the past.
The past is the past; this is the present, and most likely the future as well.
Lets enjoy right now.
Jared then slowly slides off Gabrielle’s shirt, leaving only her bra.
Jared then gives her a sly smile, making Gabrielle giggle.
“What’s stopping you?” she then whispers in his ear.
“Absolutely nothing” Jared then says, beginning to undo the bra and sweetly kissing her at the same time.
Then, out of no where, the bus gives a huge jump and stops dead in its tracks, nearly causing everyone to fall out of their bunks.
“What the hell?” Jared says now jumping out of their bunk.
Gabrielle hurry’s to put her shirt back on and then she fallows Jared out of the bunk.
Meanwhile, everyone else is waking up and jumping out as well.
“What was that?!” Emily asks Gabrielle half asleep.
“Don’t know, gonna find out now” Gabrielle says walking up to the front of the bus.
“Nothing bad, just hit something that gave us a flat tire” Jared says to her as she walks over.
“Yeah, whatever it was, torn a big hole in it” the driver says now getting up from his seat and then going out.
“He’s gonna fix it now” Jared says.
“Good, we better get off then” Gabrielle says now going back to tell the others.
Soon everyone is standing out on the side of a dirt road waiting for the bus to be fixed.
“Hopefully, there isn’t any damage underneath the bus, or we’re in trouble” the driver says getting out the spare tire.
“Oh wonderful” Shannon says rolling his eyes.
“Hey, what happened to your neck?” Emily then asks Gabrielle.
“Huh?” Gabrielle says looking confused.
“You have a bite mark on the right side of your neck”
“Oh, um, must have scraped it somehow”
“Uh-huh”
“Oh shut up and I’ll tell you later”
Emily’s eyes get big at that.
“Why wait? Tell me now!”
