For most bands, if a guy plays guitar and sings lead, he's the focal point of the group. But Patrick Stump does things differently, and that's a big reason why Fall Out Boy are a lasting musical phenomenon and not a flash in the pan. Patrick's lyricist and bass player, the impresario Pete Wentz, is a camera magnetizing, publicity circus. All Patrick Stump does is provide the broad shoulders and golden vocal pipes that make Fall Out Boy strong enough to carry the hype.
