Someone who loves movies has said that films are the only art form that is a composite all others: story telling, visual splendor and the power of music combine to create rich, rewarding emotional experiences. And sometimes the plot, pictures and tunes add up to schlock. Still, far beyond any other, movies are the mode of expression that is best able to a) offer a complete, satisfying escape from reality, and b) guide an audience through the experience of a reality that had heretofore remained hidden.
