Amanda Bynes: Temporary Guardianship
The judge responsible for actress Amanda Bynes decided to grant temporary guardianship to her parents, Lynn and Rick Bynes.
As reported by TMZ, the decision was due in large part to the medical findings regarding the mental health of Amanda Bynes. Doctors said Bynes “is severely disabled as a result of a mental problem.”
The parental protection covers not only looking after Bynes but also her finances. The temporary guardianship will run until September 30. At that point the judge will hold a formal hearing on the possibility that being permanent.
If you recall, the young actress was hospitalized in late July for psychiatric problems and it was recommended by physicians that Bynes remain in treatment for another 30 days.
