‘Jeopardy’ Host Alex Trebek Forced To Resume Chemotherapy

Only weeks ago Jeopardy host Alex Trebek announced he has finished his cancer treatment and his health was looking good. Unfortunately, his health has taken a turn for the worse and Trebek is back on chemotherapy.

The game show host has been battling stage 4 pancreatic cancer and both he and his doctors believed he was in remission after successful treatments. However, after dropping a shocking 12 pounds in only one week he must return to his cancer treatments.

"The doctors have decided that I have to undergo chemo again and that's what I'm doing. Cancer is mysterious in more ways than one," Trebek told Good Morning America.

The 79-year-old added that the thought of dying doesn't frighten him.

"The thought of passing on doesn't frighten me, it doesn't," says Trebek. "Other things do, the effect it will have on my loved ones ... it makes me sad."

Trebek has no plans to leave Jeopardy and says as long as he "can walk out and greet the audience and contestants and run the game" that he'll be happy. Jeopardy just wouldn't be the same without him so we wish Trebek good luck and a speedy recovery!
