Why Did Ariana Grande Postpone Her Upcoming Shows? Tomatoes!

Singer Ariana Grande was forced to postpone several of her upcoming shows and it all came down to tomatoes.

Shortly after Grande made the decision to postpone the team at Live Nation tweeted that her shows would now take place in late November. "The new show dates will be 11/24 in Tampa & 11/25 in Orlando," they wrote. "Ariana is sorry to disappoint her fans."

Taking to her Instagram account, Grande announced that she was under the weather and would need time to recuperate.

Here's Grande's initial note:

"i woke up incredibly sick today, ran to my doctor here and have been told to postpone these shows tonight and tomorrow," she wrote. "i'm so beyond devastated."

Grande promised to make it right by her fans. "i will make this up to you, i promise. please forgive me. i love you and i will be back and better than ever as soon as possible. love you."

A short time after her post was revealed, Grande jumped back on Instagram to announce the cause of her illness:

"Update: we discovered.....that.....I had an unfortunate allergic reaction to tomatoes and my throat pretty much closed. Still feels like I'm swallowing a cactus but slowly making progress! Thank u all for your love and understanding. can't wait to get back to performing and to make it up to Tampa and Orlando in November. P.S. There is NOTHING MORE UNFAIR THAN AN ITALIAN WOMAN DEVELOPING AN ALLERGY TO TOMATOES IN HER MID TWENTIES......."

At least Ariana Grande seems in good spirits after dealing what was surely a scary moment in her life.

Stay strong Grande.
