Listen: Cameron Hurley Covers The 1975’s ‘Girls’ Styled Like Blink-182’s ‘Enema Of The State’

Uhmmm…here at Buzznet we’re mildly freaking out over We Are The In Crowd/SAINTE guitarist Cameron Hurley‘s cover of The 1975‘s “Girls.” What makes this cover so unique, is Cameron took the pop-rock track from the Brits debut album and reimagined it in the style of Blink-182‘s Enema Of The State. The result is pure pop-punk-rock magic. The mix of a millennial centric cinematic track with the throwback sound of Blink’s signature early aught sound is SO GOOD, we haven’t been able to stop listening to it. Please click below now to experience. We’ll wait as your jaw drops.

Amazing right?! Even Blink’s Mark Hoppus is on board. After catching wind of this infectious cover, he tweeted at The 1975 proposing a cover of the cover! Yes!

We’ll be keeping a finger crossed and our ears open for more covers and potential collaborations between this unlikely pairing, until then let’s all thank Cameron for giving us one more reason to rock out!
