5 Weird Celebrity-Approved Diets We Can’t Get Behind

January is more than halfway over. Can you believe it? The inauguration is so close we’re all kind of freaking out and suddenly our intense New Year’s Resolutions are just dropping like flies. If you’ve only been to the gym once in the last 10 days and you’ve had to convince yourself that your extreme diet requires more than one cheat day, don’t worry… we’re all on the same page. Keeping it tight and staying motivated isn’t easy, but if you want results and you want to feel healthy and confident, just keep trying! And maybe think about some of these wild diets celebrities have done to keep their figures. WOOF. Let’s review five celebrity-approved diets we seriously cannot get behind and celebrate the fact that you skipped dessert because that shit’s hard too.

The Master Cleanse – The extreme of extremes, the “Master Cleanse” is the killer diet where you basically drink a concoction of lemon juice, water, cayenne pepper, and maple syrup for 3-5 days. Not eating or consuming any positive nutrients for that long is kind of ridiculous. Plus, any weight you lose is coming right back once you get some food in your system. Regardless, Beyonce and plenty of other celebs have done it.

The Hercules Diet – Our pal Dwayne Johnson, AKA The Rock, didn’t mess around when it came to looking the part in his Hollywood flick. While preparing to play Hercules he worked out for three hours a day and consumed seven meals totaling almost 6,000 calories. And of course, it was mostly protein. Yikes.

Baby Food Diet – Apparently, one of Hollywood’s favorite personal trainers, Tracey Anderson, sang the praises of “The Baby Food Diet.” This diet includes replacing breakfast and lunch with a few jars of baby food. Rumor has it both Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon have tried it.

The Cookie Diet – This diet is all about eating these special cookies during the day and a healthy, light protein dinner. Of course Snooki LOVES The Cookie Diet.

The Five Hands DietPosh Spice AKA Victoria Beckham turned to The Five Hands Diet to shed her baby weight fast. Every day you consume five meals of strictly protein smaller than your head. Other than your five protein meals, you can have water and possibly snack on a few raw, green vegetables. It’s sad that this diet sounds the most normal, amirite??
