10 Types Of Shady Behavior You Shouldn’t Put Up With In 2017
There’s always going to be someone who throws a little shade into our lives but that doesn’t mean you should have to take it and have it ruin your day. As we’re still in the beginning stages of the new year, it can be hard to let old habits and frustrations die out so easy but with a little practice, it can – and will – be done. No matter how shitty a person can be, the best thing to remember is that their behavior isn’t a reflection of you. Here are 10 types of shady behavior you shouldn’t have to put up with in 2017. Don’t sweat, you got this!
Nobody wants a knife in their back. Walk away from toxic people who threaten your emotional well-being.
2. People who can’t commit.
Whether it’s relationship-wise or to a work-related project, commitment is key to any healthy relationship. Flaky behavior is the WORST!
If you’re not being truthful with someone, chances are there’s some insecurity or shady shit going on. Everyone deserves honesty, despite how hard the truth may be to hear.
4. Self-centered know-it-alls.
Know-it-alls are the worst and chances are, they actually don’t know a thing about what they’re talking about. Ignore this crap.
Talk is cheap. It doesn’t get you very far and the people spreading rumors are bound to get a visit from karma in the future.
6. Body shamers.
We all have insecurities, especially about our bodies. Shaming others for how they look is shitty AF!
7. People who use you.
Unfortunately, we’ve all been used at one time or another. The trick is to not get sucked into it time after time. Saying “no” doesn’t make you a bad person. It’s a form of self-preservation.
Probably the biggest form of shady behavior to date. Good riddance, though. The more shady people that disappear from our lives, the better. In most cases, it really is for the best.
Braggers are usually insecure and feel they are lacking in certain areas. Either reassure them that there’s no contest going on or ignore that shit!
10. People who can’t handle the opinions of others – i.e. intolerance.
Intolerance is a huge issue these days, especially after the 2016 election. Remember that you can’t fight intolerance with intolerance and walk away from anyone who disrespects your views. Politely, of course.
