Top 5 Best GRAMMY Moments Of 2016

The 58th Annual GRAMMY Awards were last night and, while in my humble opinion, I thought it was lacking in a lot of departments, you can’t deny the memorable and heartwarming moments that took place on stage by music’s biggest stars. I’ve narrowed down the top 5 best moments below for you to re-swoon over with us!

See full list of winners here.

5. Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez Bring Each Other as Dates

These two make my heart sing and I love watching them attend award shows together as they always manage to create some interesting commentary on social media from people wondering what they’re whispering to each other to them just being the best cheerleaders for their fellow artists. These are two BFFs I wouldn’t mind hanging with.

Tori Kelly and James Bay are two of the hottest up-and-coming stars in music right now, so to see the both of them on stage together with just their guitars was pure magic. They kept it simple and organic and there’s no denying their chemistry. We’ll be swooning over this one for a while.

3. Meghan Trainor Wins Best New Artist

Meghan Trainor won her very first GRAMMY for Best New Artist and the “All About That Bass” singer was all about those happy tears as she gave her acceptance speech, which ultimately made me emotional! Well deserved, Meghan! We’re gonna go cry now, too.

2. Lady Gaga Pays Tribute to David Bowie

There would be no Gaga without Bowie so obviously it was a no-brainer to have Lady Gaga pay tribute to the late, great, David Bowie. The singer paraded onstage with her best Starman getup and killed it with a mashup of some of Bowie’s greatest hits. Well done.

1. Taylor Swift Wins Album of the Year for ‘1989’

I predicted it and I was right, folks! Taylor Swift won her second Album of the Year award and kind of gave one of the most empowering speeches EVER! Rumored to be a direct hit and response to Kanye West about his new track, “Famous,” where he states he, “made Swift famous,” the “Out Of The Woods” starlet stated:

“…as the first woman to win Album of the Year at the Grammys twice, I want to say to the young women out there that there are going to be people along the way who try to undercut your success, or take credit for your accomplishments, or your fame. But if you just focus on the work, and you don’t let those people sidetrack you, someday when you get where you’re going, you will look around and you will know it was you and the people who love you who put you there, and that will be the greatest feeling in the world.”
