Justin Bieber Says These Songs Are About Selena Gomez
While making his epic musical comeback, Justin Bieber hasn’t been shy to hold back on details surrounding song inspiration and the emotional roller coaster he’s been riding the past few years.We all know Justin’s breakup with Selena Gomez was a major blow to his heart, so it’s no surprise he wrote a few songs about her that are showing up on his new album, Purpose.
So when he swung by the Ellen show to chat about the new record, host Ellen Degeneres straight up asked Justin what tracks were about his first love. While Justin was hesitant at first, he did confirm that “What Do You Mean, “Sorry,” and the yet to be released “Mark My Words” are about his first love.
During the interview, Justin also admitted he hadn’t closed the door of possibility that he and Selena might get back together one day, “We have a lot of history,” he said. But even if it doesn’t happen, Justin says he really just wants her to be happy. That’s sweet.
