With celebrities taking center stage in fashion these days, it makes me wonder if the modeling industry is going to be irrelevant in the years to come. I mean, probably not, but with social media playing such a major role in company branding, it’s sort of a “no duh” that a celeb with zillions of followers would be recruited to be the face of a clothing, beauty or other product line.

Case in point: Katy Perry just posted a stunning photo to her Instagram announcing herself as the new face of Moschino. The pop-star has a long standing relationship with the Italian luxury fashion house, so it’s not surprising she’s now repping the brand.

Styled in a gold bandeau, patchwork cropped denim jacket, black pencil skirt, and heavy gold jewelry, Katy oozes edgy confidence and major sex appeal.
