WATCH: Amy Winehouse Documentary Trailer Drops
For those of us who are still painfully missing the life and times of Amy Winehouse, British documentary filmmaker Asif Kapadia has just released a trailer for AMY, a film to tell the story of the Grammy winning artist by way of old footage and interviews, going all the way back to pre-fame days.
The trailer begins with an archived interview of an unknown Amy sharing her musical roots, inspiration, and decalration that she didn’t think she’d ever be famous, her only desire was to be a musician. Flashforward to being followed by papparazzi, performing at major award shows, and being covered by media everywhere, it’s sure to give you a few chills.
The two-hour documentary is set to hit theaters in the U.K. July 3.
