Alot of your YouTube videos have over one million views, how does that make you feel?

I feel so blessed to be able to have my music heard. When you put a video up, you never know what the reaction will be but that’s the risk you take. I am very thankful for my fans’ support!

When did you realize you wanted to follow your passion for music as a career?

I have been writing songs for many years and always dreamt that one day someone would sing my songs. At first, I wanted to be a songwriter, but when I started performing my own songs on my first tour opening for Fifth Harmony I realized that I loved being on the road and that touring was also a passion of mine.

How do you handle school and recording albums and touring at the same time?

School is very important to me. So at times, my schedule gets extremely busy with rehearsals and all new choreography. I try to do most of my recording on the weekends, but sometimes I have to record right after school. So I have some late nights getting all of my homework done!

When you first started blowing up, how did people react to you at school?

I never really talked about my music at school until people started hearing about signing to Lava/Universal Republic and going on tour, but my buddies are vey supportive.

What’s your writing process like when you write a song?

I try to think of a song title first then I start piecing together the chords and melody, and my lyrics come last. Then I like recording myself on my phone once everything is together to see how it sounds.

Where do you draw your inspiration from for your amazing lyrics?

I get my inspiration from daily life. Everything and anything that I see and hear. It can be from a movie, or something a friend said- anything, really.

Who inspires you the most?

I’m inspired by so many different incredible artists and also from my fans that message me that my music makes them happy. That means so much to me!

If you could go on tour with any artist or group who would it be?

That’s a hard question! There are so many artists in different genres that I would be honored to tour with. I think Bruno Mars, Maroon 5 and Kanye West would be my top three.

What can your fans look forward to this year?

I’m writing and collaborating with a lot of cool writers for my EP. My music is finding a new sound, which I’m really excited about sharing later this year. I’m also hoping to tour and meet new fans!
