Must-Have Fall Essentials
Fall is here (can you believe it?) and maybe you’re like the rest of us, and just now realizing that your closet and/or beauty routine needs a serious update for the change of seasons. Not sure what to buy, or no time to search what’s new?
Don’t fret. Here are my Must-Have Fall Essentials for 2014.
SHOP: Make up & Nails
This season, you want to get rid of the brights and bring out the darks. Now — brights are ok when paired with darks… but no baby pink lips and yellow nails, please. I love Julep because it’s a one-stop-shop for makeup and nail color, not to mention, some of the most long-lasting, beautiful products. For nails, I love Coco, Abigail, and Kam, $14. Of course, don’t forget their amazing Oxygen Top and Oxygen Base Coats, $18. For make up, I love their Bare Face Cleansing Oil, $28. Mattifying Face Primer, $28. Gel Eye Glider, $16. Posh Lip Gloss, $20.
Remember, a lot of your clothes can be worn year-round, with the right pairings and accessories. One of my favorite lines ever, MOTEL, is having a huge sale until October 27th, so it’s the PERFECT time to shop and save. From left to right: Dolly Shift Dress, $30.39. Kale Skater Dress in Airtech Orange, $30.39. Leela Oversized Batwing Shirt, $19.19. Nah Cold Shoulder Jumpsuit, $30.39. Glenda Fade Jumper, $39.98. Galaxy High Wait Skinny Pants, $39.98.
There are almost 600 items on MOTEL sale! Hurry, sale ends in 9 days! Shop here.
The colder months can be pretty brutal on your skin and hair. It’s all about getting rid of dry skin and moisturizing. Try these favorites to keep skin soft, hair silky, and body smooth.
I’m obsessed with Colleen Rothschild’s beauty products, and her End Of The Day Ritual is the perfect set to wash, scrub, polish, and intensely moisturize your face. It’s drastically changed my skin, I swear by it. If you dont need the bundle, at least grab the Dual Enzyme Polish, and the Extreme Recovery Cream.
Marcia Moran makes some of the most whimsical, beautiful jewelry I have ever seen. Her pieces are genuine and timeless, and have their own personality to each one. She’s got some incredible items appropriate for Fall. I am currently obsessed with her 18k Gold Black Druzy Triangle Necklace, $148 and Four Tier 18k Gold Bangle, $163.
It’s proven that you stay warmer if you keep both your head and feet covered. Hats are a perfect way to accessories and make an outfit go from blah to BAM. Here are two that look good on literally anyone. The first one is actually a men’s hat, but I’ve found that when it comes to fedoras, men’s hat look better than women’s. The second is THE essential Fall hat, the knit beanie.Try this Merona® Solid Fedora Hat in Black or Brown, $16.99. Women’s Knit Beanie, $8.99.
Another aumtun stable: boots and booties. Don’t get into a routine of wearing the same black boots throughout the entire season. Switching up your boots everyday can be fun and inexpensive, if you know where to buy. Here are some of my favorite brands and styles.
Kamari Tall Harness Boots, $35. Sam & Libby Hudson Tall Riding Boots, $55. Dolce Vita Yazmin Boot, $195. Peace Love Shea Steve Madden ‘T-Studio’ Boot, $180.
