Exclusive Interview With Ace Wilder

Ace Wilder is an amazing singer and songwriter from Sweden. This year she took part in Melodifestivalen with her single “Busy Doin’ Nothin’ “. This song “is an ode to procrastination and an anthem for those drifting through an existence untroubled by the confines of a 9-5 existence.” And I was so honored to interview her. Don’t wait and check out it.

For those who haven’t heard of Ace Wilder can you tell us a little about yourself?

I’ve been working as a songwriter up until recently when I decided that I wanted to become an artist myself.

When and where did your experience in music start?

It started when I was about 6 and I discovered Michael Jackson for the first time. That’s when I knew that I was gonna work with music in some way or another.

How would you describe “Busy Doin’ Nothin’”?

Busy is a song about me, first of all. Second, I would describe it as a modern pop song where one blends all sorts of musical genres. And it’s fucking awesome 😉

What has been your favorite part of becoming a singer and songwriter?

Everything! I love writing songs and then deciding how to perform them. Standing on stage with your own material is magical!

What’s the story behind “Bitches Like Fridays”? Can you tell us about ideas to this video?

Bitches is about how all women have a freaky side. We can be good girls during the week but when Friday comes we transform into bitches! 🙂

When we were doing the video I wanted a very raw feeling to it. The masks represent our everyday faces that we wear in our everyday lives.

What are your plans for the rest of the year?

I’m planning on writing and touring for the rest of the year. My new single will be out soon so watch out!

Would you like to represent Sweden at the Eurovision Song Contest in the future?

If it’s in the cards for me. I don’t set up goals like that for myself but if the roads leads there then I’d love to.

What superpower would you have and why?

I would love to travel in time. Back and forth!

What do you think about piracy in the Internet?

I love that everyone has access to all sorts of information but I feel that when material that has been made by someone they should be able to get paid for it. Such as music.

Thank you so much for this interview. Do you have a message for your fans and readers?

I’d love to meet u all one day!!

Peace!
