TIME 100 Most Influential People: Beyoncé Premieres ‘Pretty Hurts’ Video
Beyoncé has done it again! She is one of Time magazine’s cover gals for its annual ‘100 Most Influential People’ issue. This places Bey in the great company of others such as Pharrell Willaims, Miley Cyrus, and Hillary Clinton who have all been featured in past issues.
Inside the issue, Lean In author Sheryl Sandberg praises Bey’s incredible work ethic and ambition: “Beyoncé doesn’t just sit at the table. She builds a better one.” Sandberg then added, “She raises her voice both on- and offstage to urge women to be independent and lead.”
To celebrate the accomplishment, Beyonce released her “Pretty Hurts” music video to the Web for the first time. The ballad, which had previously only been available on Beyoncé’s famed “visual album“, finds Bey speaking out against the falseness of the beauty culture.
