YOU ARE INVITED — Venezuela: Taking Stock One Year After the Election of Maduro

On April 14, 2013, Nicolás Maduro was elected as Venezuela’s president in a close and contested election. One year later, the country remains divided and violence levels have climbed. There continue to be daily protests over crime, high inflation, and shortages of basic goods.

Please join the Council of the Americas for a public program reflecting on the current political, economic, and social situation in Venezuela, and prospects for a peaceful resolution of the current crisis.
