Happy 43rd Birthday Michael C. Hall

Everybody knows him as Dexter Morgan in the Showtime tv show “Dexter” (2006-2013), for which he won a Golden Globe Award and a SAG Award in 2009.

I’m talking about Michael C. Hall, born in Raleigh, North Carolina exactly 43 years ago.

He’s became famous on the little screen for another role, the one of David Fischer in the HBO tv show “Six Feet Under” (2001-2005).

His career start on theatre stages though, playing in Broadway and acting in musicals too.

I think he has such a strong personality and he’s one of my favorite actors now. I love his many faces and his way to act in “Dexter”. Definitely it’s one of the best tv shows I’ve ever seen and conquered my heart in 5 seconds meanwhile I was watching the very first episode last year, in re-run on Italian tv.

On January 13, 2010, Michael’s agent and spokesman confirmed that he was undergoing treatment for a form of Hodgkin’s lymphoma. In an interview, Michael said that it was quite upsetting to learn of his cancer when he was 38 years old as his father had died from cancer at age 39. However, he was grateful that they found the cancer at its early stages, which made it a lot easier to treat and cure.

Michael accepted his Golden Globe and SAG Award in 2010 while wearing a knitted cap over his bald head, having lost his hair due to chemotherapy. On April 25, 2010, Jennifer Carpenter announced that Michael was fully in remission and was set to get back to work for a new season of “Dexter.”

Acting in “Dexter” he fall in love with his co-worker Jennifer Carpenter which plays the role of her step-sister Debra. The couple get married in December 2008 but split two years later and get divorced in 2011, but the two still are friends.

Michael is also the face of the Somalia Aid Society’s Feed The People campaign and has also worked with Kiehl’s skin care line to do a limited-edition line that benefits the Waterkeeper Alliance, an environmental nonprofit that works toward clean and safe water worldwide.

In 2011, he was the celebrity spokesperson for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s “Light the Night Walk” fundraising campaign.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MICHAEL, I wish you all the best!!!
