Animation Craze: Shot In The Dark By Tragic Gadget

I’ve been pretty obsessed with all things animation lately. Whether it’s my new favorite musical Frozen or endless nights of watching Futurama, I can’t get enough of it. So I was super excited to see this awesome new animated video for the INCREDIBLE song “Shot in the Dark” by Tragic Gadget. I’m a sucker for all things cute accompanied by sweet tunes…and this video definitely has it all. Can you think of anything more appropriate than a bee hopelessly in love with a distant flower? No. The song is about taking chances, pushing your fear aside, and chasing that thing that makes you happy. I can relate to that message more than ever right now and I love the idea of using animation to portray the music written…needless to say, illustrator Pamela Goodman and SF Bay’s award-winning Chinese Takeout Films did a fantastic job making Tragic Gadget’s vision a reality!

Tragic Gadget is a Los Angeles based duo consisting of bassist/producer Chris Lorentz and singer/songwriter Kim Tillman (whose voice is a refreshing pop treat). I think they’ve really hit the mark with this one. It’s the first track on their upcoming Crane Song EP (due out March 7th)…and I couldn’t be more in love or excited to hear more from them! But for now, please take a moment to watch this gorgeous animated treasure…and see the beauty for yourself!
