The Top Ten Trends At The Golden Globes’ Red Carpet

The Golden Globes are the official kickoff for award seasons, and a great time to scope out the trends that will be big at the other award shows this year. It was an amazing night for film and television, and the biggest names in Hollywoodwere dressed their best for the occasion.

The red carpet was fairly subdued, and slightly experimental this year. It seems like a transitional phase for red carpet fashion. Their weren’t as many brightly colored, mermaid gowns as usual. Instead, sequin columns were abound. The women of the night, Jennifer Lawrence, Amy Adams, Julia Roberts and Lupita Nyong’o all switched it up with their dress choices.

In the beauty department, the flowing loose locks that are often popular at events like these were replaced with sleek bobs and low updos. Lots of women wore their hair straight, or pulled back in a low-key style.

It’s moments like this, where fashion starts planting it’s heels in preparation for a major pivot that can be confusing, but exciting times for style! It will be interesting to see in what direction the trends head.
