Miley Cyrus Is The New Face Of Marc Jacobs

Miley Cyrus and Marc Jacobs have taken their working relationship to a new level. The singer, 21, is the face of Marc Jacobs’ Spring/Summer 2014 campaign.

Miley’s fashion highs often take place in Marc Jacobs. She wore one of the designer’s creations to The Met Ball, and she dazzled in one of the line’s dresses at an event honoring the man himself.

In the ads, Miley ditches her hip-hop/high fashion sensibility. Gone are her long, fake nails, replaced with a short black manicure. Her short hair is undone and she rocks barely there makeup. Her relaxed pose and exposed tattoos and some edge to the pictures. She appears to be lounging on a stormy beach, and in one shot, she’s wearing a pair of shades.

The campaign depicts a darker, more mature side of Miley she doesn’t often show. Additionally, the ads convey a more rebellious, younger image than Marc Jacobs has presented in the past. The collaboration could be the start of new era for both the designer, and his muse.
