Tis’ The Season Of HUGE Christmas Trees
Each year during the holiday season, each city has their own annual tree lighting ceremony. People come out to celebrate the holdiays and enjoy the fesitivites as they countdown to when they flip on the Christmas tree lights. There are certain cities, like New York and Washington D.C. that are known for their big tree lighting celebrations. Some have performers, some have activities for families and some even have contests. All in all, at the end of the night, a gorgeous tree is lit up and everyone celebrates being one step closer to Christmas. Check out some ceremonies that already happened this year!
The Coeur d’Alene Resort’s tree in Idaho is beautifully lit and has the perfect ambience next to the lake. Here, you can see the goergeous light show that was part of the event.
The Zilker Holiday Tree in Austin, TX is beautifully constructed. Food and novelty vendors were also set up for people to enjoy. This is the most beautiful non-tree tree that I have ever seen!
People gathered in Washinton D.C. this Tuesday for The U.S. Capitol Tree Lighting Ceremony. They even let a little boy, who won a contest, help flip the switch! Too adorable!
Last, but certainly not least, was the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree in New York City, NY! As always, the Rockefeller Center had amazing performances and a stunning display! I can’t get over those colors!

The Boston Commons Tree Lighting Ceremony is happening tonight, Dec. 5, at 6:00pm ET and will have performers and fireworks!
The National Christmas Tree Lighting in Washinton D.C. is happening tomorrow, Dec. 6, at 4:30pm ET. Mariah Carey will be performing!
Houston, TX is also having their Mayor’s Holiday Celebration and Tree Lighting tomorrow, Dec. 6, at 6pm CT!
Lastly, Dec. 9th will be the City of North Chicago’s Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony at 6pm CT! There will be music and fireworks!
I’m inspired to throw a party for my own tree lighting ceremony! Maybe Gaga is available….
