The Sweetest Christmas Gift

Give the gift of sugar highs, happy tummies and cavities! If you’re like me, your friends only hang out with you because you can bake. Also, if you’re like me, you’re broke. Buying gifts for ALL of your friends can certainly add up, so I came up with a solution that makes my friends, my wallet and I happy! I’m not an expert baker, but I will admit, I’m pretty good. A couple of years ago, I decided that spending ~$20 for 7 people was a way better option than spending $10 per person. I started to make Christmas treats as presents for my friends instead of buying them individual gifts and they loved it!

The first year, I made mini cakes for everyone. I will admit, it was a time consuming process, but fun nontheless. After that, I went the simpler route of cupcakes. I made an assortment and gave each friend a box full of goodies. It’s also always fun to invite your friends over and have a baking party!

I made a mix of their favorites such as cookie dough and Reese’s and then I also made holiday themed cupcakes such as peppermint, red velvet and winter and christmas tree decorated ones. Obviously, you don’t have to go as crazy as I do. Baking comes easy for me. You don’t have to make 50 different kinds or worry about making them super pretty. As long as it’s made with love and it’s edible, your friends will love it!

Maybe with practice, you’ll be able to do something like this!

Ok ok, now I’m just bragging 😀 The point is, not all gifts have to be bought. Your friends will enjoy the scrumptious treats that came from the heart! This year, I’m thinking cookies!

What are you going to get your friends for Christmas?
