tyDi Releases New Single + Exclusive Interview!

Hey Music Pals,

tyDi has released a new single today called “Live This Lie” which you can get on iTunes HERE!

Describe your sound in 3 words!

Melodic, emotive, diverse!

When did you first realize you had a love and passion for music?

For as long as I can remember, I was that geeky kid in high school who spent his time in the science labs or the music room.

You have worked with our Buzzmaker Kerli recently, tell us more about that!

Kerli is a great friend of mine, we’ve written a bunch of music together and we really get along well in the studio. Writing with her is never forced, we drink wine, light candles and just see where the creativity goes. I’m super excited about our next song ‘Perfect Crush’.

How do you feel you stand out amongst other artists in your genre?

Well I’m know for dance music mostly, and in that scene it seems to be all about heavy bass and ‘noises’. I do like that stuff but my sound is a lot more melodic. I always work with lyrics in my songs, I write music that tells a story.

If you could put together your dream tour who would be on it and describe your dream tour bus!

I’d probably want to tour with my favourite artists like Blink 182, The Used, Taking Back Sunday… On the bus I’d invite Scarlett Johannson, Emma Stone and ‘Emrata’ from the Blurred lines music video 😉

Do you have any hidden talents or guilty pleasures people wouldn’t expect?

Oh there’s some talents for sure, but I only save those for the lucky people 😉 My guilty pleasure is red wine all the time!

What is one song you heard this year that you wish you worked on?

Probably Blurred Lines… it’s a pop track that’s totally different to anything I’ve ever done but I LOVE it.

Who has been your biggest inspiration or idol throughout your career so far?

A good friend of mine, BT. I just write two songs with him on his new album

What are you plans for the rest of the year?

I’m releasing an orchestral / chill out album in November called ‘Hotel Rooms’ and then aiming to release my EDM album by the very very end of the year or maybe early next year. I have a new single coming out on November 11th called ‘Live This Lie’ which I’m really pumped about! Besides that I’m just touring like a madman.

Any advice for the readers who are following in your footsteps?

Be unique! Music suffers when you copy others.

Have you ever listened to tyDi? Are you going to get his new single?
