Celebrities Help You Pick A Halloween Costume

The countdown to Halloween has already started and if you’re a procrastinator like me, you haven’t decided on a costume yet. Not sure how or where to start? Well, I did some research and looked to the trendsetters themselves for some inspiration. Here are some costume themes taken from past celebrity Halloween costumes that’s a good starting point for figuring out what you should wear this year.

First, we have my personal favorite. The 90’s cartoon throwback. Nothing says success like seeing the faces of people who instantly recognize your costume from their childhood. Check out Katy Perry and her BFF Shannon Woodward as they bring Daria and Jane to life from MTV’s Daria.

Sarah Hyland also brings her 90’s game with her Spinelli costume from Disney’s Recess.

Although you would get several cool points from me, your costume doesn’t have to be from the 90’s. Just think of your favorite cartoon from your childhood and you will have a blast representing one of your favorite characters. Everyone will see what a cool kid you were.

Another celebrity favorite is the sexy feline. It’s a classic that never gets old!

LaLa Anthony (above) and Emily VanCamp (below) both look amazing in their simple yet stunning feline outfits.

Just be sure to keep it classy ladies!

Another Hollywood favorite is the classic Halloween monsters. Vampires, Frankenstein, Devils, Witches, Clowns (let’s face it, clowns are monsters), Mummies, etc. Below, Vanessa Hudgens and her little sis Stella show off their appreciation for the tradition as they sport their sexy vampire constumes.

Lance Bass takes the clown costume to a whole new level and displays a clown’s true colors, pun intended.

Here Kate Beckinsale and Len Wiseman are being an adorable halloween couple and turned themselves into Frankenstein and his bride.

Pretending to be your favorite celebrity is also another fun idea for Halloween. Why not be your idol for a night? Even the celebrities themselves dress up as each other!

Above, Miley Cyrus is reppin’ the one and only Nicki Minaj in this photo and below, Matthew Morrison and fiancé Renee Puente team up to become the 90’s power couple Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears.

Speaking of power couples, that’s next on my list! Couple costume ideas are always adorable. If you and your boo are looking for an idea together, you can look to the infamous classic couples in history as inspiration.

Here Julianne Hough and Ryan Seacrest are Bonnie and Clyde for the night.

Below Leann Rimes and Eddie Cibrian take it back to 50’s as Danny and Sandy from Grease.

Flying solo this year? Show off your own powerful side by becoming your favorite superhero!

Above, Paris Hilton rocks the She-Ra look with this great costume. Below, Renata Maciel is ready to fight crime in her fabulous Wonder Woman costume.

Now ladies, don’t think you are limited to the female superheros. I’m more partial to the Iron Man or Spiderman fan club, myself.

Fairytales are another cute idea for Halloween. Similar to the childhood cartoons, you can relive your childhood by bringing a fairytale to life. Here, Kim Kardashian goes the Red Riding Hood route.

AJ Michalka left the three bears to go party in Hollywood as Goldilocks.

Lastly, we have the classic nerd costume.

I think JWoww and Roger Mathews say it all here.

Still have no idea what to be for Halloween? That’s okay! If all else fails, just throw some fake blood on yourself and call it a day. As long as you are having fun and are with good company, it will be a great Halloween!

Have you already picked out a costume?
