The Dangerous Summer Headline The Roxy
I would like to start by thanking Sara Scoggins (Buzznet’s Music Editor, who I spend 40 hours a week with, gal pal) for introducing me to The Dangerous Summer third full length album “Golden Record”. I had always heard of The Dangerous Summer but had never really taken a listen until now. Last night I attended their show with Sara at The Roxy in Los Angeles to sing, dance around and capture some photos. Singer/ bassit AJ Perdomo’s voice has the perfect type of raspy/ passionate edge that I look for in a front man. Along with band’s guitartist Cody Payne, Matt Kennedy and drummer Ben Cato, The Dangerous Summer sound as great in person as they do on record. My heart skipped a beat when the band performed ‘Miles Apart’ live, that song hits the heart with lyrics “This is home, it’s chasing down a dream”.
