Just Juice It: Lisa Ruocco Shares Her Favorite Recipes

You know you’re getting old when your most exciting Christmas present is a juicer! Seriously though…. so exciting. I couldn’t wait to start eating (and drinking) healthier. Over the last few months, I’ve discovered some great juice recipes. Some I drink over ice, some I blend with ice and other times I’ll put the fruit directly into the blender and make a thick smoothie.

Here are a few of my favorite recipes for super healthy juice, made with organic ingredients. Juice served over ice with a big bendy straw (yes, the bendy straw is a requirement):

1. Green– 1 big handful of kale– 1/2 big cucumber– 1 green apple 2. Red– 1 big handful of kale– 1/2 big cucumber– 1 big handful of diced beets– 2 carrots 3. Orange– 1 big handful of kale– 4 carrots– handful of strawberries– 1/2 green apple ** Any of the juices above can be combined in a blender with some icefor a light smoothie.

Juice smoothie – use a blender:1. Pink– 1 frozen banana– handful of frozen strawberries– 1 cup water 2. Energy– 1 rib of celery– 1 frozen banana– 1/2 cucumber– 1/2 lemon (peeled and de-seeded, if you can)– 1 inch piece of ginger– 1 cup of coconut water

Usually, I make juice or a juice smoothie when I come home for lunch and bring it back to work with me. It gives me a boost of energy to get me through the rest of the day. So, what are your favorite juicerecipes?? Share them with me in the comments. 🙂
