Ashlee Holmes: Las Vegas Wedding !!!
AHHHH!!! I am just the happiest person right now. Two of my really good friends ( Pat and Rita ) got married the other day ( April 28th ) in Las Vegas. I was so excited to be able to attend. I LOVE weddings. I’m such a baby though. I’m the one that cries hysterically throughout the whole thing lol.
I drove from LA to Las Vegas the day before the wedding with my boyfriend’s roommates/my friends Jon and Jayson ( aka the twins ). I love roadtrips, so I had a good time. My boyfriend Sean had gone to Vegas a few days earlier for the Bachelor party etc… I was supposed to go when he went so that I could go to the bachelorette party, but I was busy hosting the Generation Rescue ‘Rock Now For Autism‘ event.
When we got to Vegas we picked up Sean and went to hang out with my grandparents for a little bit. We stayed at their house. Later that night, we met up with a few of our friends and enjoyed a nice night out walking around the strip. We got to ride the roller coaster at New York New York –it was awesome. Then, we ended up going to get food at Cabo Wabo. We got to sit outside and enjoy a nice view while we pigged out on chips and salsa.
The next day was the day of the wedding. We were all soooo excited for our friends. It was such a beauiful wedding. They got married at the World Market Center on the 16th floor. It was such an awesome view. I got to see Pat before the ceremony, he was surprisingly calm and laughing. He was messing around with his family and friends beforehand. I love seeing people in such a genuine happy/blissful state. I got to go to the bridal suite to see Rita before she walked down the aisle, I almost made her cry because I got emotional when I saw her lol. I couldn’t help it though, she looked SO beautiful! The ceremony was so cute. Pat and Rita wrote eachother letters –needless to say, I was a mess. ha!
The reception was sooooo much fun. Great food, great music, great friends, dancing. They had the ballroom until 2am, we didn’t leave until 3am. It was insane –in the best way. 🙂
