Runway vs. Red Carpet: London Premiere Of Oz: The Great And Powerful

Michelle Williams and Mila Kunis, the ladies of Oz: The Great and Powerful, have been turning it out at the different press events for their new movie. James Franco is one lucky man, to share the big screen and the yellow carpet (like the yellow brick road… get it?) with these gorgeous gals.

At the London premiere of the film, Michelle and Mila both wore gowns straight off the runway.

Mila wore a black and white, tiered Alexander McQueen. On Mila, the dress looked young and fun. She wore her shiny hair down and kept accessories to a minimum. On the runway, the dress was much more severe. The model wore slicked back hair. The dress was paired with very heavy jewelry and a big metal belt. Without all the hardware the tiers look frilly and girlish, and the dress loses all its toughness.

Michelle’s look was also restyled from the red carpet. She simplified her Burberry Prorsum peacock feather frock. The dress, from the Spring 2013 collection, was shown on the runway with a purple capelet, sunglasses and emerald pumps. Michelle ditched the casual accessories and made the look more appropriate for evening. She kept her neckline bare and added open-toe shoes. The black belt she added looks great on her petite frame.

Which dress do you like best? Did the ladies of Oz do these designer dresses justice?
