Panic! At The Disco To Finish Recording New Album This Month

With new music from Paramore and Fall Out Boy due out next month, the anticipation for alt-rock albums is at its highest since 2007 (ah, those were the days). If one-time emo identifiers haven’t already exploded with excitement, they might just burst when they hear the news that Panic! At The Disco are finally wrapping up recording their fourth album.

In an interview with Get Up On This, vocalist Brendon Urie revealed that the band are set to finish work on their long-awaited follow-up to 2011’s ‘Vices & Virtues‘ by the end of this month (March). The new album is expected to be released sometime this year.

The album, which was originally expected to drop late last year, will be the first to include touring member Dallon Weekes as a full-time bassist alongside Brendon Urie and Spencer Smith.

It will be the band’s first release since their 2011 contribution to the soundtrack of Batman: Arkham City with ‘Mercenary‘.
